Tortoise SVN is...
"A Subversion client, implemented as a windows shell extension.
TortoiseSVN is a really easy to use Revision control / version control / source control software for Windows.
Since it's not an integration for a specific IDE you can use it with whatever development tools you like.
TortoiseSVN is free to use. You don't need to get a loan or pay a full years salary to use it. "
Its also very good. I use it myself, togheter with opensvn.csie.org in the Battlefield project, which was the target of the previous article. Why I need this program then; the opensvn homepage is just a server, and a homepage, and a wiki. Its very easy to communicate there, and the server works as the repository and store all files. Still you need a program to upload (update) the file at the server. This is what TortoiseSVN does.
TortoiseSVN communicates with the server and it watches specified files or folders at your computer. If the folders or files are not up to date with the files or folders at the server the program will notify, and with a single click you may update your files, as well as you may update the files at the server by uploading your files. It will be neccesary if you want to use SVN, get the program here:
